Shipped Reviews

As a solopreneur who wants to build websites, Shipped saved me WEEKS. I picked Shipped because Luca (the founder) is responsive, helpful and the tech stack is developer-friendly. Shipped constantly improves and gets more robust - a positive ROI to save time and focus on shipping.

Absolutely love Shipped! As someone who is currently exploring the world of React / Next.js, it helps me learn about how things are done the right way. The components used within Shipped are spot on - simple, and align with components I've used in the past within the more traditional LEMP stacks in the past so it really helps with the transition. Thank you Luca for putting Shipped together 🙏

A great boilerplate that comes with several components already sorted out, so you can focus on building the product and not on the landing page or the settings that stretch your launch.

Shipped FAQs

What do I get for my money?

You pay once for Shipped. This gives you lifetime access to the GitHub repo with the Next.js 14 boilerplate. It has everything you need to run your SaaS. It supports App Router and uses TypeScript, but you can switch to JavaScript if you want. You also get public documentation to help you set up features like authentication and payments. Plus, you join a private Discord community where users share ideas and support each other. You will receive free updates.

What am I allowed to do with the boilerplate?

You can build as many projects as you want with Shipped, including commercial ones. However, you cannot publish the code or parts of it as a template. Check the terms and conditions for more details.

My tech stack is different, can I use it?

Yes, you can use it. Shipped is built on Next.js, React, and TypeScript. If your stack uses React but not Next.js, you can reuse about 80% of the code. If it uses TypeScript or JavaScript but not both, you can reuse about 20%.

Is it a template?

No, it’s more than that. You get reusable React components and TypeScript code to build your SaaS quickly. It includes basic UI components like buttons and forms from ChakraUI. Shipped also offers product-oriented components like hero sections, pricing plans, and testimonials.

How often is the boilerplate updated?

I update Shipped regularly. This includes both code and documentation. You can expect weekly updates and security fixes.

Can I get a refund?

No refunds after you access the repo. Shipped is yours forever. Most users launch their SaaS in about 7 days. You will always have access to the Discord community for support.

Can I switch from ChakraUI to another library?

Shipped uses ChakraUI, but you can add other UI libraries. Most components come from ChakraUI, so removing it completely is not practical. You can use libraries like DaisyUI, TailwindUI, or Joy UI. Shipped also supports TailwindCSS for styling.

Can I use Supabase instead of NextAuth?

Yes. Shipped uses Supabase for Magic Link and Email & Password authentication. NextAuth is open-source and supports many methods. Shipped avoids vendor lock-in, so you can replace NextAuth with services like Auth0 or AWS Cognito.

Can I use Stripe?

Yes. Shipped uses Lemon Squeezy as a Merchant of Records. This means it handles taxes for your sales. You can use other payment providers like Stripe, but you must set up a webhook to manage Stripe events. You can reuse most database tables.

How can I host the Next.js app?

I use Vercel because it is easy and scales well. Other options exist, and I wrote an article to help you choose the best one.

Can I see what I am getting before purchasing?

Yes, you can check the documentation to see what you will receive. If you have questions, reach out to me on Twitter or via email.

Which AI services are supported?

Shipped supports all AI services from the Vercel AI SDK, including OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, and more.
